Cockpit fans brackets being built - 2012

I think this a 3 1/2 inch hole saw will do the trick.
June 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai Shelter Island San Diego, CA

 Note:
This system is still working great 2021

We had picked up a couple fans at the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet a while back We tried one in the stateroom but it was too loud and just not what we wanted. We read that having fans in the cockpit in parts of Mexico is real nice for hanging out reading or whatever. Seeing as we have the two fans and extra blades we decide to make mounts for them and wire them up to use the cigarette lighter type plugs.
We  have an adapter for those plus in the cockpit.
We are using some left over 3/4 Starboard to make the mounts. We will add a 1" rail mount to the back and the fan on the other side.
The teeth get clogged fairly fast with the Starboard and need to get cleaned.
