Never live without it?

We have been living on our boat about three months now and at least one during the summer and we are in summer right now. We are using a small coolertron type of cooler for our refer. It keeps things 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. So if it is 70 degrees out then it is 50 in the cooler. Works off 110 volt or 12v. We use it only on 110 volt. It sits in our cockpit.
Now we are really not doing without much as far as comfort is going using this thing. It does not hold a lot so we food shop more (maybe) and it is in the cockpit so it is a trip out there top get stuff but otherwise so what?

You can see it sitting on the right

I am surprised that we are not more disadvantaged in the refer are. We do miss ice cream but otherwise life is just fine.
We are still working on our refer of course but I think this may fall under all that stuff that you need to get rid of to move aboard that you thought you could never live without?
Just saying.
