We started work on the stateroom light and whisker pole hole cover project.
The light we just plain do not like and never use and want to replace with a Caframo Bora 12V Marine 3 Speed Fan possibly. There is also a hole in the bulkhead from the previous owner. He used to store a whisker pole there and through to the salon.
Under the light the wood is natural and around the light it had been oiled for many years. It will never match up.
We will get a piece of wood made, probably marine plywood laminated with a teak veneer to cover both the hole and the light area.
We will need to cut a channel it and also the bulkhead for the wires to lay. We then will mount a fan like the one in the head where the light was. A black fan though not white like in the head.
So far we have just unscrewed the light 😀
