Summer sail fixes\stitching and rigging - 2021

Jason and Andre from Argus Marine came by and helped with our sail issues. First we have been having problems with our topping lift catching on our battens (full batten man).
June 2021 - Currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
We in Bahia de Navidad cut a couple battens shorter by a 1\4 inch to see if that would help but i did not. It started a season or two ago. After talking to Jason and Andre I realized it started when I installed the Garhauer Rigid Boom Vang RV-20-1SL . I had Eddie (rigger) rewove the topping lift. All worked fine but for in a seaway the boom could bounce and hit one of our solar panels on top of the Bimini. So I had Eddie re-connect the topping lift. Only this time he connected it to the spot cloner to the mast and we did not realize this. Jason and Andre pointed this out so now we will have Eddie move the toping lift adjustment out towards the back stay, problem solved. Next we had them look at the genoa as it needs some re-stitching. That will be us or Oscar and we favor Oscar who is coming by to look and give us a price.

Eddie will also be washing the sails and stack pack and drying\bagging them. hen we have a enclosed dry space to store them for the summer along with our Achilles LSI-310E dinghy and Debbie's new Sea Eagle 300x inflatable kayak.

Our standing rigging is getting old so we are going to replace the two front side stays to start with this year.
