A cover for our electrical cabinet inside our lazarett - 2021

Another long time coming project done. This is a cover for our electrical cabinet inside our 1978 Islander Freeport lazarett. We have not found it necessary to open this lazarett in a rainstorm but never say never. June 2021 - Currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

We wanted to put a removable cover on that area. Debbie made a pattern from some cardboard and then we cut the insulation to match. After some messaging it fits. Debbie added some weather stripping to the lower sides to make it more water resistant. We may even pain it! Nice job done! We did have a squall and the area was totally unprotected. Usually there is dodger and shade over the area which sheds the rain. Also the summer boat cover totally covers the area. However if hurricane conditions come and the canvas rips or whatever we need not depend on canvas to stop leaks. We fixed the leak in the wire hole and the hinge.
I had made the wood brace some years ago to support the shelf.
The blue and white box is the Xantrex Freedome 2000 Charger\Inverter. we installed. Do not want rain on that!
