TV Mount - 2 - 2011

We did some more work on the TV are. We tried another different mount option in the same spot but it did not work. We then decided to just tilt it slightly more upward and leave it so it will be ready to install when we move aboard in the next couple weeks.April 2011 - - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego,

After the mount was in where we liked it we put in four brackets to hold the plywood cover we cut out back in place. That way the cushion does not fall into the TV. We for now will leave it the way it is but at a later date may cut the plywood cove in half vertically for easier storage when using the TV. Now we will just slide it behind another back cushion when watching TV.
We broke off one of the aluminum bolts that the mount people supplied so we went with one SS screw and nut and two SS lag screws. We did not have another screw with a nut that would work. It is set up now but later we will get some more screws and nuts, lock washers flat washers for mounting. The mount we may want to re-adjust my moving it but without bringing the TV to the boat and then adjusting it we decide to just make sure it works for now. We were using the card board cut out as a template for the second go around of adjustments and installation of the mount.
We then vacuumed and washed the area. The Debbie painted the are brown again.
We also cut off the corners of the cover where all the drill holes were and sanded it and the opening. Debbie then painted the cover. It is not seen but we wanted it to be clean and nice enough for when we move it.
When we watch TV we are both on the salon with the table down.
