Caframo fans we are replacing with new ones in cockpit - 2020

Caframo Ultimate 757 12V 2-Speed 7 inch Fan - Direct Wire are the new fans. Our Caframo "Ultimate" 2-Speed Fans old fans we purchased from a marine swap meet and they were a much older version. Eventfully one stopped working and the other worked on only one sped. They are sooo nice to have out in the cockpit! September 2020 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

One of our old Caframo fans.
We made the mounts to fit on the 1" stainless steel tubing of the bimini.
This shows the bracket we made from Starboard for the old Caframo fans. The Caframo mounting bracket has changed for the better and it mounted onto our Starboard bracket just fine.
We take the fans down for hurricane season and store them away. We do not spend much time in the cockpit then and we can use a bigger 110 volt fan if needed. Debbie is putting new terminal ends on the wiring that goes from the nav station to the fans.
We have a switch at the nav station that can shut off the electricity to the fans if needed - like in the summer.
Ready to install the heat shrink. These ends allow us to unplug the fans when we want to remove them for storage.
Debbie made them universal for each fan so either fan could be mounted on either side of the cockpit. The fans will turn backward if wired - to + versus + to -.
Debbie then matched up the fans wiring to the bimini wiring.
And we are ready when the time comes, (hoping soon) for the weather to break and we sail south!
We will put some Dielectric grease on the connections and then wrap them with white electrical tape when setting them up for cruising to keep the weather from corroding them.
