Back from the Machine shop. We sized the top cap so the supports fit tight into the brackets and set the set screw and marked them up for the U brackets.
We had previously cut off the threads from the U brackets so we could use them this way.
Just what we were looking for. An easy way to connect the Achilles dinghy end of the hoisting gear from the dinghy to the boat. Also this makes for easy retrieval when coming back to the boat.
Starboard side, same thing.
