Debbie rebedded the six chain plates this summer - 2019

This is summer so it is really humid and hot. Looks fine but it is HOT. Here Debbie is putting in new bedding in the chain plates. Some of the six were ok but a couple were leaking a bit and a couple were iffy. So Debbie did all six.

July 2019 - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
You can see here where there is no bedding left.
This chain plate is not sealed, at least at the top.
After the cover is lifted and it is cleaned, you can see some white bedding
left on the side of the chain plate but none on the end - cause for leak.
Also nothing in the screw hole.

We could take off the stay and then remove the cover and rebed them
but this is quicker and we can do just as good of a job rebedding.
Some old caulking that came out.
Before digging out the old caulking...

And after...
Ready for caulking.
All done. Still needs some cleanup but it is now sealed up good.
Somewhat shady  😀
 "Boat yoga"
No leaks, heavy rain tested😁
We purchased some of this pens sellador "Marino" at Zaragoza Marine Store and some at SYS Chandlery here at Paradise Village Marina. In the US "Pens Marine Sealant".
This is the same product we used on the caprail.
