In our rear starboard lazerett we have a net which we installed
to keep gear that we store there from resting upon the quadrant.
It also keeps gear from sliding down the side of the hull and become unreachable without a lot of effort. When we installed the tabs that hold the net in place with wire ties we mistakenly put some on top of the painted hull so those came loose as the paint came off.
A couple of small flat fenders we can store
in the bottom and under the quadrant without effecting anything.
We use them sometimes for the dinghy and for kneepads etc. We also store our good kayak paddles down there and other light and rarely used items or items we do not use all summer.
Here you see the quadrant and also the stern anchor rode which is in the port stern lazerett. Also a bag which we will have to move😏 and a wet vac that we use for the bilge. On top of the quadrant is our rudder sensor for the Garmin GHC 10 class A under deck autopilotWe sanded and cleaned the tab areas with acetone and then used some 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 that we used on the wind vane to hold the tabs on this time.
Wa la! Back together all ready for gear and has some in it already!!
