Sailing from La Cruz to Chacala passage - 2016

Beginning of May 2016 - Tied up in Marina Mazatlán, Mexico
Just another nice sail.

Our passage from LaCruz to Chacala was a beautiful sail on a lovely day. After rounding Punta De Mita in Banderas Bay we sailed without needing a tack till we got to Chacala.. We have blogged about Chacala when we came down on the Baja Ha-Ha 2012 and we stayed at least a week here..
Beautiful day.
Not a lot of wind but enough for a nice sail.
Because it is only an eight hour passage we did not need to worry
about getting in after dark. Plus we have been here before.
The only long line we encountered was by Chacala.
This is the small but quite nice little town of Chacala.
There is a state park and camp ground here off our stern in Chacala .
A few houses along this side of the bay.
On this side by the white building is the Port Captain. There is a also a nice dinghy landing here, sometimes called "The Kiddie Beach". The beach landing here is most of the time too crazy to try to land on.

We were thinking of staying a couple\few days but s\v Eyes Of The World was here. They have had battery problems and run their Honda generator morning and evening every day.. We were anchored by them in Las Hadas and the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon and would have moved but they were leaving shortly. It is annoying to listen to someones' generator for hours when we can just listen to the waves and birds etc. Also it is a bit of a walk to town and with me needing a hip replacement we opted to just spend the night. The weather is great and so we moved on to do the overnight passage to Mazatlán.
