Mermaid 12000 btu ducking - Magic Box - 2012

We stopped at A to Z Marine and picked up 3’ of 6” AC hose. We want to determine if we can carry the 6” hose through the ducking. We would branch off with 4” hose and 4” supply grills. The first grill needs to be 8" x 6" and then at least two 4” grills.
The 6" hose would of course not come out of the space but keep going towards the port side.
August 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai Shelter Island San Diego, CA

Here will be a Y so the 6" hose can continue past the water heater and onto the port side of the boat.
Like this but with a Y for a split.
 We have determined that this is possible. We can get through the bulkhead by the water heater and go along the top of the water heater to the next grill.
We will need to move some plumbing and then use the saws all to cut a hole between the accumulator tank and the water heater. Then the 6" supply ducking can run out to port and branch off to the 4" ducking and then 4" grills. This will make a better flow than a 6" duck to a 4" at the AC unit and all 4" ducking and 4" inch grills after that. The more 6" ducking the better. We do not have space for more 6" grills so the 4" inch ones will have to do. This is OKed by Mermaid, now (Freedom Medical And Marine Solutions) as the minimum needed.
One 8" x 6" grill should be within 6 feet of the unit and at least two other discharges need to be at least the 4" round supply vents.
As always, more is better;
OK not here.
 We also decided that putting the Mermaid Marine Air 12,000 btu electrical box (Magic Box) in the storage are under the bed by the hanging lockers is not a good idea. Debbie and I decide to put the Magic Box behind the salon seat. We will loose a little storage but the Magic Box will not get banged around and is way more accessible.
We had tried various spots like along the port hull behind the salon bench but the AC electrical cable would not reach. Besides it would be in a possibly wet are as there are hose and other items that may need servicing by it.

 Update: As it eventually turned out we are not using any of the ducking. We use the main in air supply for the out also. It has been working well that way - 2024.
