This is the new Beta Marine 38 hp hose (small black one) that we had Luis put on - he had help from his brother Alfonso and his son Luis. We also had them replace an alternator belt while they were here, the starboard belt.. Work I do not feel like doing anymore😁
We ordered the hose (209-08589) from Beta Marine West.
Here the belt rubbed against the hose creating a weak spot.
It seemed the port ISKRA AAK alternator came a bit loose. While we were away for 2 1\2 months this summer, we had our engine run. They never saw the ISKRA AAK alternator getting loose and it rubbed the hose.
We decided that there is no sense taking a chance on it while we are cruising
so we ordered a new one John and Jan Cone on m/v Context
brought it down for us, thank you very much!

Now we have the old one in case of emergency replacement.
It is a special hose so we can not buy it locally😔
