Replaced the SEALAND. SaniGard™ Holding Tank Vent Filter and activated charcoal - 2019

Debbie is digging inside the area behind the salon cushions
in the cubby where the holding tank ("poop") filter is.
February 2019 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

We purchased a rebuild kit back in 2011 or so and have been continuously rebuilding the filters. We have two...swapping them when needed.
SEALAND. SaniGard™ Holding Tank Vent Filter.
"SaniGard SeaLand Dometic Vent Filter RECHARGE KIT for marine holding tanks"
activated charcoal
It is a bit of a pain getting the filter out so we are going to lengthen the hose next time we need to replace the filter. The filter keeps the odors away when you flush the toilet.
We are getting some more 5\8 sanitation hose and
a new filter fitting so the process is a little easier..
We purchased this few feet of sanitation hose and two stainless steel hose clamps at the SYS chandlery here at Paradise Village Marina.
The second filter we have that we rebuild and have ready as a replacement.
The bag also has foam to keep the Activated charcoal in the filter.
This is a new plastic hose barb we purchased to go with the new hose.
Plastic to plastic filter works best.
It is the same type of fitting that screws onto a garden hose. We purchased it with the hose at SYS chandlery here at Paradise Village Marina..
A BIG bag of Activated charcoal. We purchased this bag at a pool supply store at Av Tepic Sur No 1493 Valle Dorado, Nayarit (322 297 1328) and it is enough for our lifetimešŸ˜Š
It is hard to find and since we change the filter at least every 3 months, we decided to get the BIG bag. Now it will be easy. Well, once we replace the hose and fitting next time we change the filter.
