Our new vanity mirrors. Not a straight forward project like you would think. First we took the old mirrors to a glass shop in Mezcales to have the new ones made. They made one too big so we had to bring them back for a recut. Then we could not get them in the slider slot. It turns out they are too thick! So now we need to get the edges beveled. Yet not at the original shop!!November 2020 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
So after some research we found this place which does beveling.
Only the beveling machine was broken so they could only bevel sizes larger than an inch. So they had to send it out to get ours 1\2 inch beveling done.
Part of the yard. This place was in an industrial yard on an unmarked dirt road. We drove past Home Depot in Las Juntas, just before the second Pemex gas station and kitty corner to the Global Gas station (where we go to fill up our propane tanks!). Not very easy to find!
Inside the glass shop.
Racks of glass.
Anyway, we got them back and they fit.
Yay, finally.
We had purchased new handles for the mirrors but have decided not to put them on. At least not yet. We seem to be doing fine without the handles.
