Tenacatita panga to La Manzanilla

On our way to La Manzanilla
January 2020 - While anchored in Tenacatita Mexico
There were five couples who organized to take a panga from Tenacatita across the bay to La Manzanilla on the premise to watch the NFL Playoff game.  We went for the experience and to do a little food shopping...and to be a "part of".
A couple of boats went over in their "big boat" and anchored off the beach.

We all had a good time!  The group congregated at a local bar that was showing the games.  We decided to stay and have a late lunch - the food was pretty good!  We sat and talked with Robert and Virginia of s/v Harmony, an Islander Freeport 41. Robert is the "mayor" of Tenacatita!  After we ate, we walked around town - in search of a hardware store yet none were open...not unusual for a late Saturday afternoon.  Then we found a pretty good Fruteria so replenished our supply.  They even had cheese!  After that, we found some helado which we ate on a bench by the beach.  At 7:30pm, the group met at the panga to return to the anchorage.  We couldn't decide who had more libations - the panga crew of four or some of the cruisers.  The ride back was very entertaining, with music and dancing by some.  We're glad we finally got to do the panga ride!!
