Varnishing the settee area - cane doors - 2018

In the "Varnishing room" at our house sit in  Taking advantage 

of the house sit as we had planned.

Middle of April 2018- Currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico

Currently house sitting in Bucerias, PuertoVallarta, Mexico 

 No wood paint stirrers here at the paint stores 
or Home Depot so I cut up a plastic coat hanger...works well.

This is a plastic coat hanger which is now a paint (varnish) stirrer.

The house has dirt roads on each street of the block but for one which is cement. It gets very dirty with the cars going by and to their houses. It was hard to keep the dust\dirt out of the varnish even with the windows and door closed to the room.

Sanding away.

Yet another coat.

Starting to look good.

Sand, varnish and do it again!

Same cane door varnished gloss., area around the door is now satin.

 Opposite cane door on the settee side with area around the cane door satin.
