Put propane locker shelf in the lazarette for the propane box - 2011

This is in the port lazarette.
We put the propane locker (PL) shelf in the lazarette. It holds the propane locker box in place.
July 2011  - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor IslandSan Diego, CA

There will be some jack line type straps the will hold the PL onto the shelf and hold the top to the PL. I lost the top so we will be making another.
Note:
We ended up not using the shelf but did use the two "L" brackets to hold the propane box.

The stainless steel(SS) “L” brackets are not strong enough so we will be going with some galvanized steel ones. They bend when the propane locker sits on the shelf. The shelf actually holds but they are really too week so they will need to be replaced.
We want the PL to be easy to remove or at least not too comber sum. Once the refer and PL are done and in place they PL will probably hardly ever need removing but just in case then it should not be a hard job.

The system we were going to use to secure the PPL was a couple SS  brackets but they will not fit, there is not enough room left at the top. That is OK because we want the PL to be high as possible so the drain can slant aft.

This was just a fitting and we will make some adjustments and paint the PL etc.
There still seems plenty of room to get gear in and out of the lazarette. Of course it would need to fit the whole left to get into the lazarette. Most of the gear we put in there does still fit. The blow up Kayak will not fir but it goes into the starboard lazarette.
