It took a total of about 6 hours to get the grabrail to the "ready to apply varnish stage".
It did go easier then I thought it would and came out nice.

This scrapper I used worked great for this project (and others also).
Purchased at Home Depot..
It took about 3 hours to remove the old Sikkens
Cetol with the heat gun and the Honda EU2000i generator.
Took about two hours to sand with #120, #180, #220 and then with #320.
Took Debbie about an hour to tape it.
You can see some spots I think were caused by water intrusion.
They sanded out a lot as you can see later.
Sanded.
Sanded.
Ready to tape.
All taped and ready for some Epifanes clear varnish.
