Varnishing the caprail after moving the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two up off the racks and against the shrouds. Cannot do this very often in the lagoon as the winds pick or can just blow all day. We had 20-30 knots all day yesterday. A bit more work at anchor but we rather be at anchor then in a marina. Anyway, it is coming along just fine. January 2021 - anchored in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon.
This starboard grab rail is about half done, three coats right now...I will get 6 to 8 on it as it is raw teak..
Oopps, a drip.
This is one or two new coats.
Just being comfortable in paradise, sanding along the cap rail.
Here I am working from the dinghy. Cleaning off the excess caulking and sanding the outside edge of the caprail. Nice to have the smooth lagoon to work in for this. Then I taped it without bouncing around at another anchorage, the lagoon has its privileges.Boat yoga aka varnishing the outer edge of the caprail.
