There was a fishing panga going by our boat at anchor in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon so we hailed them over. We gave them the Garmin GPS 72. and they seemed pleased. We had put fresh batteries in it and it was ready go. December 2020 - Anchored in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon.
We bought this used from Dave on s\v Falco in Zihuatanejo back in 2015 and it was old then. We did use it while anchoring but it took way too long to get satellite fixes. 
We recently purchased a new Garmin GPS Etrex 10 In 2020.
