  No need to struggle with the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two. It is 12' long and about 50lb.It is about the same weight as a jerry jug but bigger. To move it from the surf racks to the foredeck for overnight passages is much easier and safer with the hoist and main halyard.  We marked one end of the hoist to make it easy to hook up each time.

Of course at the dock we can get a couple of young dock workers to come move it for a tip but they are not around at anchor. To bring it up onto the surf racks is fairly easy and launching it is easy enough. It slides across the racks etc.

There are four drain holes in the kayak. We hook the hoist to two holes on one side.
