We are replacing our shifter cable: installing - 2024

We are replacing old shifter cable with this new Dometic Extreme 

CCX66320 ASM 3300 blk 88499 shifter cable.

Debbie removed the cable from the Techodrive TMC 60M transmission linkage since she has smaller fingers. The screws are hard to hold a screwdriver on and not much space. Debbie got some good time in the lazerett and some in the engine space. She was hooking up the cable to the Techodrive TMC 60M transmission on the engine. We had run a halyard-type rope when pulling out the old cable in order to be able to pull up the new cable through the bilges, in the lazarette and pulling it through the binnacle. Now we can shift at the binnacle like it is a fork in jelly!

Dometic Extreme CCX66320 ASM 3300 blk 88499 purchased from Lopez Marine, 

right off the shelf, here in La Paz!. The new cable is 20 feet long so we can route it better. 

It is now routed away from the prop shaft.

Debbie got some good time in the lazerett and some in the engine space. 

She was hooking up the cable to the Techodrive TMC 60M transmission 

and in the lazarette pulling it through the binnacle.

Both the new black shifter cable and the old red throttle cable connected.

The red wire is to the compass light. 

We also greased the steering chain while we had the binnical apart.

The old shifter cable - ugh!
