We had had previously purchased an antenna like this and had it working but when finalizing the install, we accidently shorted it out and burnt out the antenna.

Now we are repurchasing one like it with the NEMA 0183 protocol and GGA sentence and 4800bps that the Icom wants. The last one had the ground to the ICOM SSB the shielding as the ground. That made it hard to splice into the BNC connector. That is also possibly where it shorted out. This new one has a regular wire as the ICOM M802 SSB grounding so it should be easier to put together.
