Foredeck SUP and Kayak tie down system - 2023

Debbie and I worked out a tie down system for my "Starboard 2017 Atlas EXTRA Starlite 12’0″ x 36″" paddleboard on the foredeck. We left enough room in the straps so we could get Debbie's "Sea Eagle 300x Pro" kayak to fit under the paddleboard with the kayak partially deflated.

This strap system with buckles will make it quick and simple to put the kayak and paddleboard on the foredeck for overnight passages or when a blow is predicted. We will be doing at least one overnight passage to Mazatlan and then another one or a double crossing the SoC, as to which way we decide to go.

We will remove the fin from both items.
The strapping will not allow the board to move side to side or lift up.

We have more pieces of fire hose for sliding over the strapping for chafe. Also, Debbie will sew the buckles on the strapping and make loops instead of the knots.
