Sailed Banderas Bay again testing our Kato Marine Island Davits - 2104

Beginning of March 2014 - La Cruz Anchorage Banderas Bay Mexico

Captain Debbie.
Now we only were doing 5 knots with 11 knots of apparent wind in relatively calm seas.
We did later head up and pinched where we got a good heal going as the wind got to 15 knots. The dinghy still did fine with the shifting boat. We tacked and no dingy problems with the davits and all. We could add a strap from the out side bow on the dingy to the stern rail and the inside of the transom on the out side (port) of the dinghy to make sure the dingy has no movement at all. Just in case we get some heaver seas and winds as that can happen here in Banderas Bay, not often but no adding the bow one once the dinghy is up on the Kato Marine Island Davits..

Yes it was about 85 deg and a nice breeze for sailing.

One of the end of the davit ratchet starps connected to the stern rail.
Here you can see two davit ratchet straps coming from the end of each Kato Marine Island Davits.
The Achilles LSI-310E dingy did well under sail.
