We decided to rent a car - through Alamo, that the marina arranged - to go into Loreto. We got it mid-day on Thursday so we could go in two separate days. Thursday, we had lunch at a road-side restaurant - Vista Al Mar, recommended to us by one of our pet sitting owners. Then we mostly spent time finding different places (laundry, hardware (closed), and groceries @Ley). We even had an ice cream at Thrifty's!!
Friday morning, we headed out early to walk the Malecon and saw the breakwater where the dinghy dock is. It reminded us the one in Punta Mita in Banderas Bay. There we three sail boats anchored off shore. Then we stopped for coffee and Danish in the town square. After that we went back to the hardware store - FerreterÃa Chucos and the Marine shop - Ferremar de Loreto, just like the one in La Paz.
A few sail boats anchored off Loreto. Need to usually get back to your boat before noon as the sea Kiks up and makes a tough dinghy ride.
We picked up our laundry - LavanderÃa la rana, gasoline for the car and one of our gas cans then finished off our grocery shopping atSuper Mercado El Pescador. Lastly we went to the papeleria - Papeleria Central Suc Loreto so we could purchase school supplies for public schools in Agua Verde and San Evaristo. It was a very productive trip into Loreto!!
