While Debbie and I were taking apparat the Spectra Ventura Watermaker 200T for rebuild we found some plastic wrap in a check valve. This could be the answer to the problem we were having. We went form 8 gal an hour to 6 gal an hour of output.

We still needed to rebuild the Clark pump as it is 9 years old. The tech at Dailey and at spectra said the Spectra Ventura should have all the "O" rings replace in it every 5-6 years. Well to do that it is accentually rebuilding the water maker. Because it needs to come completely apart to get at all the "O" rings. So we are replacing all the "O" rings and we found a few other parts that could use to be replaced.
After removing the seat here is the plastics wrap stuck in the check valve.
I am holding the plastic wrap in my fingers. It looks like the wrap that is on a pre-filter before removing the wrap and installing the pre-filter.
Check valve on the left is removed.
You can see the wrapping on this filter looks just like the what we found in the check valve.
