Summering in Lake Chapala - Ajijic area - Real pony ride, Malecon - 2018

Real ponies or minature horses for the pony ride.

August 2018 - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
August 2018- We are currently in Ajijic which is a town by Lake Chapala,Mexico; we are pet/house sitting.
Quite a nice looking horse. Not sure what the gig is here but maybe you sit on the horse and get your picture taken?

That's what happens with this cell phone ridding cowboy(El Vaquero).

Later we saw a kid on the horse getting his picture taken so that's what this was about.
Hmmm good picture takers. 😁
Some of the Pangas ready for hire.
Beautiful Debbie standing along the Lake Chapala Malecon!
The entrance sign to the pier with the light on it.
Looking down the shore line to the Yacht Club and other pier.
Looking out to the light at the end of the pier.
Looking to the other pier again with the statue on it.
The end of the pier we are on with the light.
A Panga coming in with some screaming locals with their hands up having fun!
Heading back to the Lake Chapala Malecon.
The skate board park along the Lake Chapala Malecon.
We saw, or more like, heard sounds up on the pole.
Come to find out they were Mexican Indians.
This is when, to our surprise, they lowered themselves down
to the ground using ropes and spinning around.

The pier - island with the statue.
Ok, this was strange enough art for a picture 😏
Part of the Lake Chapala Malecon.
Looking at a sail boat leaving the break water at the
We tried to have lunch at the Yacht Club but they would not let us in. I guess since we are cruisers not Yachtistas it makes sense. I do say s\v Elegant'sea is a cruising boat and house boat and a work boat but not a yacht club boat. It was just as well as we walked back to Central Market and had a fine lunch for a fraction of the cost and with locals.
Lots of kiddie rides.
This is quite a nice fountain of fishermen pulling in a net. There are lots of fountains in Lake Chapala and they all work. Also lots of nice big trees and benches, no graffiti and few, if any, homeless. The temperature is the best .
