The round part with the black face has a spring in it. We had a spare kit but the spring broke on our installed part so we used the spare from the kit. We cannot buy just the spring part but an extra kit is always worth having. Next summer we will get a spare motor and some other parts that rarely break but if they do then oh boy. Not enough extra $$ this summer for those parts. This year the waste system has not been used for the last six months. So no wear-tear on the system. We are missing home though and want to be putting some wear on the system 😁
