Stern rail SS bracing for davits and dinghy etc - 2013

Middle of October - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
We had the welder over, well his workforce and they did an excellent job making two braces for the stern rail. They will also probably serve as handles when coming up the stern steps.

The even bolt it up!

They used 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 so that sucker is not going any where.

Making a bigger hole on the wind generator bracket for the support bracket for the stern steps brace.
We had them put an extra brace on the one on the port side as it is the side the Honda 9.9 hp outboard motor sits on the dinghy when up on the davits. There is not that much weight on the other side as it is only the bow of the dinghy.

They were going to put another brace like that one on the cap rail on the starboard side but I could not bear the cap rail to get scared up like that so I said, no. If we still have problems with the pins aligning with the steps and the stern rail on the starboard side then OK it will need to get added. We did not have a t bad of a time on that side as I said it does not have much weight on the davits as it is bow side for the dinghy.
Cockpit table hinge.

The also threw in "Gratias" the welding of the cockpit table hinge that was cut off by us.
Before.
Stern step support or I should say stern rail support brackets.
