New cockpit Starboard table mounted on original teak table - 2013

October 2013 - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
Our cockpit table has been one pain and the project did not work out well.
We cut the table hinge off it's SS mount and then had it re-welded backwards. This did not work so we cu it off again and had it re-welded back the original way. The main problem or one of the problems was the screws to hold the mount to the binnacle were off when we turned it around. We could re-drill them but we have wires for the chart plotter running u the tubes. We could have the mount welded on also but again we were worried about the wires. We do not need any more work with the wires being fried or cut so we abandoned the idea and went back with the old table. Then we just screwed the new table too the old table so we could use it this cruising season which is approaching fast.
Also the table bracket that holds it up was going to need to be modified and the mount for it moved. Enough!
Sizing up the table and getting it centered for mounting.

Debbie came by taking a break from here project so I recruited her 😉

Possibly next summer we will have one made. There are plenty of great wood workers here and at great pricing.
