Punta De Mita Anchorage and Banderas bay - Whales - 2012

Mid December 2012 - Anchored in Punta De Mita, Mexico
The short eight hour or so passage to Punta De Mita we saw some whales.

  This is looking out to the northern most point of  Banderas Bay.

There is a good surf brake there I think. It is past sunset.

We left and went to Nuevo Vallarta the next morning. This picture is us approaching Nuevo Vallarta.

 

 

A couple charter boats sailing in  Banderas Bay by  Nuevo Vallarta, Benateau's I think.

 Banderas Bay is about 26 nm's wide and this is a shot at the southern end.Cabo Corrientes (Cape of Currents) It has a weather referred to like Point Conception which we will need to pass by in a week or so.
