We ordered the Sea Eagle Inflatable 300X Pro Carbon Package from recreation-outfitters.com where we got the best price. Sea Eagle is having a sale and we got a heck of a good price. More than 1\3 off the price plus free shipping.
Debbie will be using this kayak as an independent way of going ashore or getting off the boat etc. Also, we can cruise around the anchorage together, with me on my paddle board and Debbie in her kayak. March 2021 anchored in the Bahia
de Navidad Lagoon
We selected this one after much research about the offerings for inflatable kayaks. We wanted a kayak light enough for Debbie to manage deploying and retrieving from the side deck of the boat on her own, which meant not longer than 10' or heavier than around 25 lb. We also shied away from something with cloth as it would be difficult managing the drying and potential mold. This kayak is made of 1100 Decitex Reinforced, the new Hypalon (so similar to our dinghy, with the same inflation valves!). This makes for not getting beat up if you got rolled on a shore break - this inflatable kayak is softer than a rigid one. The floor is a removable, high pressure drop stitched floor which is good...can be stood upon. And finally, if the kayak had a fin or keel...which this one does - "a removable slide skeg for improved tracking on open water".
