Propane refill from large to small bottle - 2019

This DOZYANT - Regulator Valve Propane Refill Adapter for Steel Propane Cylinder is what we used to fill the small cylinder. We purchased it from Amazon.
March 2019 - We are currently anchored in Bahia de Navidad Lagoon, Mexico

We tried screwing on the little bottle.
The neck of the little bottle was hitting the white frame of the big propane tank. That was making it screw on crooked and we were worried something would go wrong like a cross threading or worse, and explosion😅
We pointed it out towards the anchorage in case it blasted off😈
We did persist and tried filling it. It did fair yet not quite full. It turns out I needed to re-read the instructions. We decided to stop trying and borrow a neighbor's tank, who offered.  We took the big bottle into Fortinos restaurant to get it filled.
So we borrowed a tank from  Danny and Debra on s\v Cyclades. Their tank worked much better.  I think I will try to trim off some on our tank to accommodate the smaller refill later.
This tank is too big to put in or propane locker. It also would be a fair amount of work to run a propane line out to the tank on the stern. We could do it but it is not worth it for a day or so.
The little bottle screwed onto the DOZYANT - Regulator Valve Propane Refill Adapter nicely and straight. We had read the instructions and so we had no problems.😀
After we had the little tank screwed on we flipped the big tank upside down and then opened the valve...you could hear the gas going into the little cylinder.

After the sound went away we figured it was full. We then tipped the big tank with the little tank still attached, right side up and unscrewed the little cylinder. The little cylinder felt full by weight. We had purchased these (the adaptors) a while ago just in case..
Next we put the the other adapter on the regulator pictured below
and screwed in the small bottle.
All done!
Working great.
