Purchased Stant Cooling System And Pressure Cap Tester - 2017

Stant also makes radiator caps among other things.
Each year when putting away the boat for hurricane season we change the oil, impeller, filters and antifreeze and run fresh water through the engine. We also remove the stack tube from the Beta 38 hp we have and replace the "O" rings and the seals on the bolts. We clean the stack tube and put it back. I am hoping this tool will help me check for any leaks at that time.😬 We purchased this Stant pressure tester from Amizon.com.

October 2017 - Tied up in Marina Mazatlán, Mexico
We are currently house sitting in Pacific Beach, San Diego CA

"Allows you to test today's car's higher pressure cooling system
Color coded dial makes it easy to accurately test higher pressure caps and systems
Features a pressure release bar for releasing pressure build-up before removing the head from the neck
Comes in its own plastic case for easy storage and carrying
Set includes 1- 12559 spacer to drop in 1" deep filler necks for testing, 1- 12552 cap adaptor to check standard "A" size caps, and a complete easy to use instruction manual"

There are lots of adaptors which you can purchase to fit various cars etc. We do not think we will need one as this is a fit for ours out of the box.
The Stant 12270 30 Pound Cooling System And Pressure Cap Tester cap.
Compairing caps from the Stant 12270 30 Pound Cooling System And Pressure Cap Tester to caps we have and they look like a match.
This is the type of cap that we have which I think are "class A". We have one on the Beta 38 hp that is 13 psi and one on our Accumulator tank that is 16 psi.

And yet another part checked off the US buy list for the next cruising season.
