Our dock mates Mike and Holly on their 34’ Catalina “s\v Southern Cross” are installing a Garmin electronics package which includes radar, GPS\Chart plotter and fish finder with a second pod below.
It has been a bit of a struggle as one or two connectors were not installed correctly from the shop.
To find out Mike hoisted Holly up the mast to hook a cable directly to the radar antenna and then to the display. This eliminated all the other connectors.
Mike cranked up Holly with a winch and of course there was a safety line.
They both also had head sets on. We have the same ones and have used them for anchoring.
They did find the bum connection and we think it was at the display.

Wanuskewin - 42' Catalina came down on the Baja Ha-Ha with us and eventually went through the canal to the Caribbean and Florida where they sold there boat.
