May 2011 - At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
We put up a towel hanger that we had from the Kohler Collection, sounds yachty.
We had two towel holders and did not know where to put them. Now we have but one left and as we grow into the boat will decide if and where we need it.
Debbie did the measuring so the placement would be even with the other two pieces, like a "V".
Then Debbie taped the template on the bulkhead.
Then I drilled the holes and tested them.
Then erased the marks 😊
Then screwed in the bracket, that's the bottom screw and the bracket is flipped down.
Screwed in the set screw and it is done!
With limited space it is the best placement for what we want it for.
Our goal is to hang a large micro fiber bath towel on it after the marina shower or say a boat shower. I suppose it could have gone a little to the starboard side but this is fine. If we moved it it would not have been a "V" and would have looked crowded. See how I can get to engineering to death a towel holder even after it is done! It may lay next to the wood but being a microfiber towel it will dry quickly and not bother the wood. It will hang doubled over not from one end. This way it will not rest on the bench seat. A lot of writing for a towel holder 😀 The towel is a larger version of the one currently on the towel rack but could be a different color, like that would matter?
