Two months straight at anchor - from Chamela (Punta Perula) to Cuastecomate,to Barra to Santiago, Las Hadas and back here to Barra. Today is our last day at anchor in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon, and it is blowing 30+ knots (30.2 kts = 34.75 mph). It has been blowing 25+ for the past several days actually! A short season for us yet still enjoyable. Tomorrow we will heading into the Grand Bay Resort & Marina (Barra Marina) for a month...it is summer rates there. Then we will go back up to Puerto Vallarta for the summer.

Box template building for Mirage 5000 btu window AC unit - 2019
Debbie is making cardboard patterns for the "AC box" that will house the Mirage 5000 btu window AC unit over the hatch. This took several hours up on deck to make the emplete out of cardboard. It also started to get hot towards the end. We had to move our tools out of the sun so we could touch them. But we got it done.đ
Dinghied over to Pat's shop in Colimilla, off the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon,- 2019
We dinghied over to Colimilla to talk to "Pat", who was recommended to us by the cruising fleet. We need to build a box for the Mirage 5200 btu window AC we purchased.

We had to shut off one 135-watt solar panel...too much electricity - 2109
While anchored here in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon we had to turn off one of our Kyocera Solar KD-135GX 135 Watt 12 Volt Solar Electric Panels. Yes, our 485 watts of solar panels are cranking out the electricity. The extra electricity goes to our hot water heater. We took a shower on-board yesterday and the hot water was scalding HOT!
Mermaid 12,000 btu HVAC running on Honda EU 2000i generator in echo mode - 2019
Honda EU 2000i Generator running to supply electricity to the boat.
The Honda EU 2000i generator is running in echo mode. The reason we talked about the refer is that the refer runs off of 110V when it is detected. So both the built n Mermaid Marine Air,1,200 btu one tun HVAC and the refer compressor are running...plus one fan. I do believe we could have other items running on 110 volts as well. The generator does not sound like it is anywhere near max.
Mermaid 5200 btu HVAC running on inverter - 2109
This was a successful test. Our Mermaid Marine Air 5200 btu HVAC unit ran full blast, cooling down the stateroom during our test.
Santiago and Las Hadas with passage north to Bahia de Navidad- 2019
The beach landing by the Paradise Restaurant in Las Hadas was gnarly. We kayaked in and did fine getting in between sets. A bit stressful but Ok.

"Schwag" from Sailfest and Guitar Fest in Zihuatanejo, Mexico - 2019
Thanks to Steve and Denny on s\v Brendon who brought this schwag back for me from SailFest and Guitar Fest both held in Zihuatanejo. Last year or so I left my Guitar Fest hat on a Puerto Vallarta bus, and the year we did SailFest there was no schwag.
Passage from Bahia de Navidad to Santiago via Carrizal, Mexico - 2019
We are motor-sailing from Bahia de Navidad to Carrizal when off in the distance a disturbance in the water caught our eye. As we approached and it came toward us, we realized it was a pod of dolphins, jumping and frolicking. What a beautiful sight!
