s\v Elegant'sea on the Opequimar travel lift - 2020

s\v Elegant'sea weighed in at 26,901 lbs which is a lot more than from the factory! We are a well equipped boat and the tanks are full. Still, that's a lot. She still sails fine and is sea kindly and motors fine as well!

New digs while our home (s\v Elegant'sea) is in the Opequimar boat yard - 2020

This is where we are staying while our boat\home s\v Elegant'sea is in the Opequimar boat yard. We got a heck of a deal - low season and the Covid situation. We will be here about 12-14 days while we get boat bottom work done.

Solar panel covers: first iteration - 2020

We re making a cover for the solar panel cover that is on top of the dodger. We are also having made a boat cover that covers the area from the top of the dodger to the Bimini. Because the solar panel has some sharp edges we are making the cover.
What we are using now to cover the solar panel will not be good for the new boat cover.

Summer fan blowout- dust off! + nozzle issue - 2020

Who is that masked man!?
And what a difference😎 Last time I cleaned them I used the old paint brush method. It takes more time and I can not do as good a job but this method does a most excellent job. Still, the blades have a bit on them but just a little.

Extending the shunt twisted pair for a new solar remote to come - 2020

Coming up behind the nav station are a set of twisted pair that we never used for the Link2000We had made up and installed two sets of twisted pair for the link but never used the second one for the starting battery. Now we are extending the twisted pair for the BlueSky Energy IPN ProRemote.

Rewiring the shunt and house battery terminals - 2020

Well, it ended up being more than just a shunt rewire we did. The wiring we did before we can now see was not entirely correct on the shunt. We still got good Volts data on our Link 2000  but amp hours remaining and other data were off. We mainly use volts. Such as 12.32 volts means our batteries are at 70% so not to let them get any lower!

Whipping etc on the Mantus Chain hook and bridle system - 2020

Our Mantus Chain hook and bridle system had a twisted stainless steel eye and some other whipping needed to be attended to.

Outboard motor fuel tank gets plastic "welded" - 2020

It is like the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two that we did some modifications on and leak repair. We repaired the cracks and Debbie started making a cover this tank. It goes to our Honda 9.9 hp outboard. We also use it for an extended tank for our Honda EU2000i generator.
