Ordered new Sea Eagle 300x (Pro Carbon Package) Kayak - 2021

We ordered the Sea Eagle Inflatable 300X Pro Carbon Package from recreation-outfitters.com  where we got the best price. Sea Eagle is having a sale and we got a heck of a good price. More than 1\3 off the price plus free shipping.
Debbie will be using this kayak as an independent way of going ashore or getting off the boat etc.  Also, we can cruise around the anchorage together, with me on my paddle board and Debbie in her kayak.

Purchased two fins for the paddleboard, Mexican flag colors - 2021

Purchased two short fins for my Starboard2017 Atlas EXTRA Starlite 12’0″ x 36″. These will help the board track and not slip off the face of a wave. I purchased them from the "North Swell" surf shop here in Barra de Navidad and also got a "T" shirt!
Also while doing that we sold the shop our Ocean Kayak Malibu Two kayak!

We SOLD our Ocean Malibu Kayak - 2021

Yes, we sold our Ocean Kayak Malibu Two kayak. We had it for about 6 years. It treated us very well. We sold it for more than we paid for it and used it for 6 years.

Debbie removed the rubber, well what would come off. Then got the rest off and used American Paint Thinner from Comex.

The Tenacatita Aquarium anchorage - 2021

Took this video on our beach walk and then we had a really good lunch at a Ramada on the beach

Lunch at the Tenacatita anchorage camp ground Ramada - 2021

We quite often have some lunch at La Vena Restaurant on the beach here in Tenacatita. We play some cards or Yahtzee and at times, play bocce ball. Today I had the "special" which is quite good. It is called Rollo de Mar (Rolls from the Sea) which is shrimp and celery rolled up in fish. Some nice almond sauce on it and it is served with salad, rice and corn tortillas.

Washing the cockpit shade at the Tenacatita anchorage camp ground - 2021

Scrub-a-dub-dub We brought part of our cockpit shade into shore and washed it at the campground showers. They came out nice! Going on four months on the hook so they have gotten a bit dirty. Nice to have all the fresh water, albeit cold but that's fine. We have been taking in a few pieces each time we go in to have lunch and sometimes play bocce ball.

Twist fasteners installed on our dinghy wheel covers - 2021

Debbie needed a place to pound so when we went ashore, she went to the showers where there is some concrete. This is about putting DOT twist fasteners on our DaNard Dinghy Wheel covers to prevent the wind from blowing them off. We almost lost one because of the wind while the dinghy was up on the davits. Debbie put one twist fastener on each cover to tighten it up so it would not slip off.

Starboard garb rail is almost finished being prepped for varnish 2021

The starboard grab rail is almost prepped.
Just needs a bit of sanding with some finer grit paper and it will be ready for blue tape. I removed all the old Sikkens Cetol with the heat gun and Honda generator supplies the power. Probably be a couple days before the first thinned-out coat goes on. This is the last topside teak to do. Looking good and has been a nice hobby this winter! Our Islander Freeport 36' has just the right amount of topside teak.
After "work", we opted for some lunch ashore at the beach Ramada (I had shrimp soup...yummy) and we played cards and Bocce Ball!

Varnishing the grab rails - 2021

I have just put the last coat on the upper grab rail (aft) and just put the first (diluted) coat of varnish on the forward port grab rail. All the varnishing 🖌️ is coming along nicely! The starboard forward grab rail I am still prepping and then Debbie will blue tape it. Yesterday Debbie taped the port forward grab rail and I played guitar 🎸 up on the foredeck to serenade her 🎵
Now today's options are hit the beach for lunch, Bocce Ball, Mexican Train 🇲🇽 dominos, cards, walk on the beach or stay and chill out on the boat and maybe watch a movie etc?
