We installed the switch for the food locker light. Looked around the web and made the phone calls but did not find a longer neck one that was marine quality. That meant we counter sunk the back of the wood where the switch goes through. Done it before but thought if I could find a place that sells them then we could order them from now on. So looks like we continue to counter sink the holes.
To do that we used a wood drill bit. I think it was 1 ¼ but any way whatever is larger than the switch is fine.
The other day when installing the propane detector we cleaned up a lot of wiring but you can see we have a ways to go.
We then placed the switch into its spot and Debbie and I tested it for ease of use. We both liked it so now it will get wired up soon. We stopped on that work because we wanted to get the boat ready for sailing on Saturday.
Easy to reach and with the black water prof cover it makes it easy to switch to on\red\white on your fingers
I do not think food will flip the switch on, it seems sturdy.
The brass piano hinge needs to be cleaned up with a scratch pad. The hole needs to be cover also. We will get there :)
