Kato Marine Island Davits - Harken 6.1 blocks - OK - 2011

After we had the davits in place set up temporarily I could not resist putting on our new Harken 6.1 blocks and line. They looked so nice. We had polished up the davits some so were looking a bit nicer.

Port side -  It looked like a real nice setup.

After sleeping on the thought it came to me we did not try the Harken  blocks going down to the water to the dingy we do not have. So we put them back on and sure enough the line is too short to go to the dingy. I messed up and thought when they said 55’of line it was for both davits. No not like that, it is for each davit. So now the line is cut in half and has been spliced in two places.
We may be able to use the lines on the Harken Traveler 6.1 as we do not care for the line that we chose for it. It is not performing well.
No matter the davit blocks need new line and splices. Dam.
