Cleaning the Propeller...the personal touch - 2021

This video is after I cleaned the prop. Below you can see how much growth was on it.
Now it seems to take me a couple days to clean the whole bottom versus one day, years ago!

Outside varnishing coming along - 2021

Currently we are varnishing this upper grab rail and finishing off some sections of the caprail. Soon we will start the lower longer grab rails.

Up the Tenacatita estuary to "The Aquarium" then to the Tequila distillery - 2021

Debbie and I, along with Bob and his son Boyd on s/v Chaos (the dinghy helmsman) took a dinghy ride up the Tenacatita estuary to "The Aquarium" anchorage.  Once there, Pancho in his truck picked us up and took us to a tequila distillery where we had some lunch etc.
Fun time!
Along the way, we ran into other cruisers - from  s/v Strange Byrds and s/v Eos in their dinghy.

Skates jumping in Tenacatita anchorage - 2021

Yes we watched this school of skates swim by here in the Tenacatita anchorage

and jump out of the water making a flop sound when the hit the water. Fun sight!

Feeding Frenzy in Tenacatita anchorage - 2021

All around our boat (and at times other boats) here at the Tenacatita anchorage the fish have been bumping the hull and otherwise just mucking around trying to feed on the smaller fish. Quite a sight!

Outboard on dinghy and on davits while sailing - 2021

We have been sailing around four different anchorages and decided to leave the Honda 9.9 outboard on the dinghy to make it easier on ourselves. Otherwise we need to remove it each time we change anchorages and re-install it again when we get to the next anchorage. None are more than a few hours apart. So far so good. No problems with the weight etc.

Barra to Cuastemate and anchorage - 2021

Cuastecomate is a small community tucked into a small, secluded bay located about a mile west of Melaque .It is about an hour from Barra by boat at 5 knots. It features a 300-yard long beach with gentle waves. There are a number of palapa restaurants along the beach. It's know as the "secret anchorage" in the cruising guides.
