We cut some more insulation and added it to the freezer. We tried to foam under one part of the insulation but could not find the tube that goes onto the foam can. So we got the one inch insulation cut for the separator panel. We got the refer kind of figured out now as far as insulation it goes. It will be two inches less deep than the refer. The refer also widens as if goes towards
the bow and we will leave that as is. We will add two inches to the port side.
The back and the port side are shaved off pieces to make the fiberglass flat
The separator panel has one inch added to make it two inches thick as recomended
Showing the the fiberglass indent near the current bottom. We will add insulation up to that point on the bottom.
It is a design as you go type thing with the more insulation as possible the better. The hard part now is the shaving off of insulation. Taking a 1 inch piece and making it 3/8 or so for the indents in the freezer fiberglass. The hardies part is the cleanup. The insulation makes a terrible mess and we do the cutting in the cockpit so we can control the shavings. We do not want the mess going into the bay. Of course it gets tracked into the boat and takes days to get it all out. About that time we ware doing it again!
