Downsizing storage locker - bit by bit - 2011

May 2011 - Marina Cortez San Diego, CA
As you can see it was rainy at our storage locker building in San Diego.
As you can see it is covered parking and I have the bimini on my 91' jeep Wrangler because it was a rainy day.
When it is sunny the inside parking keeps the seats cool also We chose this location on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) because it is handy to the boat and has cover parking which is nice as we both have convertibles.
We have down sized quite a bit and really only have a few boxes of home stuff in the storage unite. They are things we are still working through. Debbie has about 50 movies. We have about half on a hard drive now with some software to catalog them and play them. Got the other 25 to go then she will sell off the Movies. There are lots of pictures. We are close to digitizing them. There are some other items also. Most boat stuff now that would be in the way at the dock while working on the boat. Some are projects waiting to be done.
We find that even labeling the boxes the eventually get all messed up. Things get put into the storage unite and the box it belongs in is at the bottom so it gets put into a junk box which grows to a few junk boxes and so on. Eventually boxes get combined and things get lost inside the unite. It is like the boat when it comes to retiring something, you need to move six boxes to get at one. In fact there is some grease in a back box that I am giving up on and will just buy some because it is too hard to get at. I can do about an hour max there mousing around for stuff. It is dry and you get sweaty and much rather be somewhere else.
OK th e sewing machine table is there some place. It is like a puzzle can you find it? It is an industrial tye table!
The sewing machine table was going to be a work type bench for the storage locker. Silly me, what was I thinking. There is not any room, it serves as a shelf for storing more stuff.
By the way it is up for grabs as it is being offered by us for free to anyone interested in picking it up. It was made for a Sailrite sewing machine but I think it would fit most any model.
