Ok we were surprised at how small the magnet is! Yet it should still work fine. For some reason (like not paying attention to the specs) I thought it would be bigger J. It still pulls 2 pounds or so and that was what I was going for, along with price. Guess we will need to test it out on something. Most stuff we drop into the bilge is stainless steel though. It should not be difficult to find a something to let fly down under!
