We will probably go with this system as a FOGger has been happy with it.
"We actually went with the Froli springs on our new to us boat. They were easy to assemble and between adjusting spring spacing, spring tension and clips you can adjust for firmer or softer areas. They also form an air gap to keep moisture/condensation under control. We have 4 inch foam cushions on top. I'm no lightweight, so over a couple weeks I ended up adjusting the springs a little firmer and a then a little firmer, I can now say its as comfortable as my bed at home, but at first I would feel some spots where it felt like the springs were bottoming out.
If you need to get access to the storage areas under the berth you may want to assemble the Froli in separate sections, so you can just pull out a small portion instead of the entire spring system, since it is awkward to move once it is in place.
If you look at their site online they have templates that can tell you exactly how many springs you need once you measure your berth.
So with some trial and error, its as good as an innerspring mattress, but you also get something that creates an air gap under your cushions."
