Macerator project re-started

We finally started some work on the maceration project. We had grabbed it at the storage shed.
We got the old hoses off this one, the white ones you see in the picture This we bought at the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet. We have tested it and the motor runs. Figuring that must make it good or just hoping.

June 2011 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor IslandSan Diego, CA
Anyway we also have another like it we know is good that we got at Chula Vista swap meet so either way one like it is going in.
Hoses off and wood for shelf
We have grabbed a piece of plywood we think is marine plywood from the storage shed and are going to make a shelf from it. Have it measured off.
We had stopped at A-Z Marine and searched out a holding tank pipe to make the job a little easier and to get the most from the tank. Of course they charge top retail.
So it will be an online purchase
Reduces chance of hose failure. Allows waste to be removed from the top of the holding tank, eliminating stagnant sewage from sitting in discharge lines.
Prevents clogging and minimizes tank residual.
Adjustable. Fits tanks up to 30 inches in depth.
Easy to install. Includes special sealing ring that requires a 3" (76mm) hole.
We had forgotten how high our holding tank was so while the mattress was off we measured it.
That white stuff is closed cell foam just laid up against the sides of the bed to keep the cold off Debbie while she sleeps. Seems to work good.
Our holding tank is around 14-15" high so no problem. Our tank is a 33-34 gallon tank if I can remember right 😀
