The two small front windows installed also Peek-a-Boo Blinds installed! -2012

7\19\2012 Marina Cortez San Diego, CA
Debbie started the process of removing the first window.
Our front windows were in sad shape. We had painted the frames to make them look a bit better.
Also we had put sun screen over the windows for privacy and to keep the summer sun out. They windows were hard to see through any way.
These little windows were in tight. Not easy to get out.
Plus there was not any room on the top between the eye brow and the window to cut the sealant.
Next one out!
It was a nice day to be doing this.
Both out!
Dry fitted. Needs some rasping!
These windows are shaped odd. They are curved and are just herd to fit. To install them you need to bring the ends in by staring from the center and working out with the screws.
Dry fit.
Getting the rasp treatment.
Debbie installing the starboard window.
Debbie removing protective tape.
These two front window we did not get in safety glass. We got in the plastic type. It was way too much for us to spend on for the glass. If we were not out fitting the boat for cruising we probably would have sprung of the real glass but a water maker etc takes the priority over the front windows. Theses will last for a very long time and look good. All the side windows are the safety glass and will never craze.
Installed!
I had eaten an old tuna sub and got food poisoning. I was sick and could not do much. Debbie did the two front windows mostly buy herself. I did a little clean up and gave some support by mouthing how things were going good etc. This was really a lot to take on because it was day three of boat work. I was sick and Debbie was burnt out. Debbie did finish up and we celebrated by crashing. I could not eat and am a foodie. I like to eat the fun stuff like fruit and popcorn and was just feeling down and out and no food. Bummer.
Then Debbie peeled off the stickers on the Peek-a-BooBlind and the one went up.
That's it all done, thank you Debbie!
The Peek-a-BooBlind gives us privacy if we want some and also makes the windows not so stark. It also helps with the giving the salon some coziness. If you want to see the stars then no problem, if you want to keep out prying eyes then no problem. At first I was resistant to putting them up then we put one up and I like it better than no having it. We chose beige in color as it bring in the head liner and curtains. Even with new curtains we will have some beige in them.

We did not install the other (Port) Peek-a-BooBlind  because it did not work correctly. It does not open all the way or close all the way. Poor quality control on Peek-a-BooBlind  part. We will try to file the slits more and if that fails we will send it back.
